BIP Group (Pty) Ltd, Bright Idea Projects, is led by Colin Africa and based in the Eersteriver and Greater Blue Downs area of Cape Town. We are a proudly South African construction company, 100% black owned and managed, delivering integrated building solutions from foundation to handover.
Our direct workforce includes site supervisors, bricklayers, pavers, painters, skimmers and general labourers, supported by a network of registered sub-contractors covering plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, roofing, solar and aluminium.

Colin Africa has been active in the Eersteriver community for over 25 years. He founded the United Wheelers Youth Cycling Club in 1997 and has chaired the Greater Blue Downs Residence Association Business Forum since that same year.
Working directly with the City of Cape Town on community upliftment, Colin brings the same commitment to every BIP Group project: skills development, enterprise development (including supporting a woman-owned construction business), and creating real opportunities in the communities where the work happens.
